Meet Mari, Founder and Owner

Hi, I'm Mari. I'm the introverted eldest daughter of Barry and Sherrie. I wanted to honor my parents in the name of my company. On my father's deathbed in 2020, I promised to take care of mom and gave him my blessing if he was tired of fighting and ready to 'go'. My company was built on that promise both figuratively and literally.

My waistbead journey began in February 2023, unintentionally but divinely coinciding with the beginning of my journey with therapy. With the dualistic healing process, I began to reclaim various aspects of myself mentally, physically, and spiritually.

What started as adornment soon became an anchor for appreciating the skin I was in. In early 2024, I had to cut my strands off before undergoing surgery; an unexpected but necessary pause that only deepened my appreciation for the culture. I missed my beads!

As my body healed, so did my vision. I felt inspired to encourage other parentified daughters to explore healing from symptoms of CPTSD, corporate trauma, emotional solitude, rage, burnout, or whatever healing looks like for YOU. The journey is far from easy, but the payoff is worth the effort. YOU are worth the effort.
