Meet Mari, Founder and Owner

Mari, affectionately called by her childhood friends and family, is the eldest daughter of Barry and Sherrie (both to whom the name BERRIESEED pays homage).

Mari's waistbead journey began in February 2023; she also began her journey with therapy  that same month. She later had to cut her beads off in preparation for surgery in February 2024. She instantly wanted to attach some new strands, but had to wait until after the healing process. After healing, she had a specific waistbead design in mind, which ignited her research and development era. She began to create strands for herself and those closest to her.

 Inspired to create a waistbead and apparel brand that encourages deeper connection and living authentically, Mari got to work.

BERRIESEED launched in 2025.
